About a week ago I read Xuanwo's post, which referenced Simon Wilson's post, which was then responed to in another of Simon Wilson's post in a delightful flurry of back-and-forths reminiscent of Civil War era letters from the front.
tl;dr - you write baby posts based off of your reaction to other people's posts. Like a twitter with only one person posting.
The value proposition for me as a writer is attractive: I can write more, think less, I don't have to worry about being original or doing a big project, and at the end of it all have something to look back on. And let's hope this is actually interesting for anyone who wanders over into my corner of the internet.
In any case I'll give it a go. If it doesn't work out then hopefully only the Wayback Machine1 will know my failure.
Sidenote, the default result for the Wayback Machine is http, not https, and it doesn't automatically redirect you.2
What, you came to the footnotes looking for something interesting? They're footnotes. There's a reason they didn't make it into the main draft.
